  • PureVoice Player-Recorder (1.4 MB) - A digital voice encoder designed for recording, sending by e-mail, and playing back voice messages. The audio files created are highly compressed, but sound quite clear when played back. Files can be up to ten times smaller than WAV files. This download includes both a stand-alone player-recorder and a version that runs as a Eudora plug-in.
  • Teamware Embla- This is a great E-mail application that supports IMAP4, POP3 and MIME. It is optimated for mobile use. Interface similar to Windows Explorer.This is for Widows 95 and NT.

  • OpenSoft ExpressMail Lite- "OpenSoft ExpressMail Lite is a freeware version of the ExpressMail client, but with no encryption features. This powerful 32-bit Internet e-mail client is a robust messaging tool with many convenient extras built-in. Download it now and enjoy fast and friendly e-mail."

  • PC Pine- The simple e-mail service is available for download at the University of Washington homepage. This program is very simple, and is recommended for novice users, or those that are unfamiliar with e-mail. It is also totally keyboard based, for those of you that don't like mice! :-)

  • LISTSERV Lite Free Edition (2.2 MB) - An entry level version of L-Soft's powerful Internet mailing list manager. It is similar to the full version, but it designed for smaller sites with lower volumes. A number of features are not available in this version.. A separate Windows NT version is available from L-Soft. Limitations: Handles a maximum of 10 mailing lists with up to 500 subscribers each.
  • Microsoft Internet Mail and News (1.0 MB) - Includes both a mail client and a newsreader program. Features the ability to import and export from Microsoft Exchange and an Inbox assistant which can automatically delete your incoming mail or place it the proper folders based on the subject, sender, addressee, or CC address.
  • Microsoft Internet Mail and Newsreader Win95 (1.1 mb) - It's easy to set up and configure using Microsoft Wizard technology, Binary attachments are automatically decoded, You can use Microsoft Office spell checking (if installed), and the ability to personalize your mail with automatic signatures.  It looks like an extension of Win95. It also seems to be very fast . . .
  • Mailto: This is a very basic e-mail sending application that you can use to send e-mail messages from your web browser without the need to install MS Mail or MS Exchange. This is especially useful for users who are having difficulty getting Pegasus Mail or Eudora to work when clicking on a mailto: link in Internet Explorer.
